ABOUT US
We invite you to Grow in Faith with us
Concordia Lutheran Church is a congregation gathered by God in Chris Jesus our Lord and empowered by His Holy Spirit to worship, learn, serve and grow as He feeds and nourishes us through Word and Sacrament.

We give honor and glory to God by carrying out His will for the Church and dedicate ourselves to following Christ's command to teach and preach His Word and rightly administer the Sacraments.
OUR MISSION
The mission of every church is to "go and make disciples" as stated by Jesus in Matthew Chapter 28. Concordia has personalized and internalized this great commission and has cast it as "Proclaiming God's Word and Building Christ's Family"
OUR VISION
We are a mission congregation of the SELC District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Our vision is to proclaim the Good News of God's love and to build and strengthen Christ's family.
OUR HISTORY
The seeds for Concordia Lutheran Church of Macungie were planted by our mother congregation, Concordia Lutheran Church of Bethlehem in 1983. Under the leadership of Rev. Raymond Malec, a small group of enthusiastic Christians began worship services in April 1984.
MISSION
The statement "Proclaiming God's Word and Building Christ's Family" enables us to focus our efforts on the ministries, programs, and activities that help fulfill our mission and realize the following fourfold mission.

First, Concordia's members are active in the multiple opportunities available for meaningful worship and education for all ages.

Second, Concordia's members regularly pray and read the Bible such that everyone grows in their understanding of God and His Will.

Third, Concordia's members apply their gifts and talents to caring for one another and reaching out to the community through acts of kindness and support.

Fourth, when presented with the opportunity, Concordia's members share with those who do not yet know Christ as Savior, the meaning of their relationship with God and how believing Jesus is the way of salvation.
VISION
Our mission is to proclaim the Good News of God's love and to build and strengthen Christ's family.

Worship: Our congregation celebrates God's gift of salvation as our faith is nourished by His Word and Sacraments and we respond with praise to Him for His goodness.

Witness: Our congregation tells other people in our community and around the world, of God's love in Christ.

Nurture: Our congregation seeks to strengthen all aspects of each member's faith and life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Service: Our congregation reaches out in service to and support of others since Christ has loved and served us.

Fellowship: Our congregation shares a familial relationship that is ours because the Holy Spirit calls us to be one in Christ.
HISTORY
The seeds for Concordia Lutheran Church of Macungie were planted by our mother congregation, Concordia Lutheran Church of Bethlehem in 1983. Under the leadership of Raymond Malec, a small group of enthusiastic Christians began worship services on Sunday, April 29, 1984 at Allen Organ in Macungie. For six following years, worship was held at borrowed facilities, primarily the Church of the Nazarene on Brookside Road, Macungie.

In 1987 Concordia Lutheran Church of Macungie was chartered and incorporated with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, officially establishing our congregation soon after. Construction began on the eight acres of land on Brookside Road with groundbreaking taking place on Sunday, April 16, 1989.

The Service of Consecration in the new church building was held on Sunday, December 23, 1990. During the building process, most of the interior furnishings of the sanctuary were constructed by members of the congregation.

In November 2000, Concordia called Rev. Waldemar R. Vinovskis to serve as the first full-time pastor of the congregation. As of January 2004, by the grace of God, Concordia Macungie became an entirely self-supporting congregation. the congregation celebrated its 25th Anniversary on September 30, 2012, with a joyous service of music and worship at Allen Organ's Octave Hall.

With the blessing of the Holy Spirit, the congregation continues to grow, we have expanded our facilities so they may better support the present and future mission and ministries of Concordia and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod by proclaiming the word of God throughout the Lehigh Valley.
